Alternative medicine, hypnosis, integrative nutrition, weight management and holistic healing are only some of more than 100 exhibits slated for the second annual Health & Wellness Expo, Wednesday, May 25, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Stamford Plaza Hotel, 2701 Summer St.
The event will be hosted by the Greenwich Young Professionals Group.
A number of Greenwich exhibitors and sponsors are participating in this year?s event, including Avenue Massage Therapy Associates of Greenwich, which will show how orthopedic massage and therapeutic yoga may work together in pain management.
Other exhibitors include Mineral Evolution, Take Shape for Life, the Osborn, Adopt-A-Dog, Easy Care Energy Solutions and more.A wide variety of healthy foods will be provided by area shops and restaurants. Admission also includes a large selection of complimentary beverages from places including AOC Fine Wines.
With the theme, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise, this year?s event will showcase not only the latest advancements in the health arena, but also feature special exhibit categories, such as pet wellness, senior health, financial health and healthy homes.
The Health & Wellness Expo 2011 will also host ?the healthiest cocktail party? with healthy beverages and food from local restaurants and markets.
The evening?s special guest is health and fitness advocate Brittany Decker, Miss Connecticut 2010, who will speak about her fitness regimen and perform her ?Dancing with the Stars? number.
There will also be demos from Jazzercise, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, The Greenwich Ballroom, LA Boxing, The Training Floor, Punch Kettlebell Gym and Carozza Fitness, which was recently featured on the ?Today? show.
Tickets may be purchased through the organization?s Web site, GreenwichYPG.com. Prices are $20 per person before May 25 and $25 on May 25. Tickets will also be available at the expo for $25. Parking is complimentary.
